A great choice for smaller gardens, M. ‘Daphne’ is a good grower that flowers well from an early age. It has a compact habit and flowers after the frosts making it a great choice where space is at a premium. The deep yellow flowers are gorgeous, with great form, and have petaloid tepals up to 9cm long. Flowers are borne with the leaves which themselves have a lovely texture as they emerge. The flowers don’t appear to fade as some do, and are held above the foliage which is a boon in the smaller flowered cultivars.
