A vigorous plant with pink blushed flowers, followed by large green aromatic fruits that are great in jellies. It needs the benefit of a sunny wall, with fruits needing to be brought inside to fully ripen. It has a sparse branching habit though the young leaves have a nice red tinge to them. This Chinese native is certainly a collectors plant, though easy enough to please. Mulch if planting in very light soil to help with moisture retention.
